Comparing education system between Iran and England
Bylow in England, all children between 5 and 16 years of age must receive a full time education. In Iran, on the other hand, all children between 6 and 18 years of age must receive full time education.
The school years in England runs from September to July and is usually divided to two terms, whereas in Iran school year runs from September to June and is divided to two terms without any term’s break. In England students attend school from 9 am to 3 pm, whereas in Iran they attend school from 7:30 am to 12.15 pm. Both Iranian and English students go to primary school until they are 11. Both Iranian and English schools follow the national curriculum of their country. The main subjects in England are math, science plus others but there is a little different between Iranian main subjects in that they have Persian instead of English in primary school.
Atthe age of 11 English students go to secondary school till they are 16, whereas Iranian students go to Guidance school from 11 to 15. English students can choose to continue their studies up to two years then try for university. In Iran, on the other hand, students go to High school from age of 16 to 18 to get their Diploma then go to pre-university for a year. There are further exam at the age of 19 and good result in these are required to go to university.
